To say that this has been a big year for me would be quite the understatement. I graduated from UNCA a year ago today, spent a week in Paris soaking up the city, photographed at both the Men's (Brooklyn) and Women's (Lexington) NCAA tournaments, plan to travel to Iceland and Scotland in the summer, and got MARRIED two days ago! So why not throw going full-time into my photography business and rebranding into the mix?

When I decided to finally dive into the deep end and go full-time in my business, I knew I needed to update the company I started in college to encompass my more sophisticated - yet still just as vibrant - personal brand. After months of work collaborating with Kudzu Brands and jumping through the legal hoops, I am bursting with excitement to finally announce that Adrian Etheridge Photography (formerly known as ASE Photography) is officially open!  While my core photography principles - a photojournalistic style capturing moments to treasure for a lifetime - remain the same, this expansion means a new line of product offerings (specifically my signature photo albums), some new service offerings (milestone and yearly photo packages - more on that in a later blog post), and the addition of off-camera lighting gear to capture your moments at any time in any setting. 

My focus on a photojournalistic style rather than a specific genre of photography allows me to enjoy a wide breadth of subject matter including sports (action and editorial), love (weddings, engagements, couples, bridal), portraits (graduation, family, kids, fashion, personal), celebrations (corporate and private), advertising (food, business branding, real estate, head shots), and travel (vacation photo services as well as local and abroad print sales.) In this way I get to meet and photograph people from many different walks and stages of life, allowing me to tell their unique story through imagery.

Life is a rich and epic journey. Adrian Etheridge is a gifted photographer who captures each moment - both the awesome and the simple - with authenticity and vibrancy. Adrian is equal parts photographer and storyteller, working artfully in a variety of genres planting events and moments into visual prose and eloquently capturing the moments that matter. Whether celebrating the winning goal, the first married kiss or just an afternoon is pajamas and sock feet, adrian captures moments to treasure for a lifetime.

As an artist, Adrian believes that we shouldn't have to be behind the computer to enjoy an image. All of Adrian's photo sessions result in an artfully-bound book honoring the work as the beautifully-told story that it is.
